Harvested in Tolima just slightly south and west of Bogata Columbia the beans are washed and sun-dried in roofed stands that allow for more controlled drying. This combination of microclimate and careful processing results in an extremely balanced coffee with notes of caramel, orange, and red fruit sweetness with a prolonged aftertaste. We like to light roast this bean to maintain the sweetness and as a light roast it is also our most caffeinated. This is a great morning pick-me-up and very popular for our early risers.
Columbia is the 3rd largest coffee growing country in the world. The coffee is grown on mountainside “fincas” (farms) between 3900 to 6500 feet above sea level.
